In the wake of the COVID-19 crisis here in our community over the past few weeks or so, we have prayerfully and thoughtfully canceled events to encourage social distancing per our health and government officials and the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, a response we trust is one that values the sanctity of life.
As we are thankful for the grace of being able to continue to connect online and through social media, we would like to extend this invitation:
Take time... to participate in a Personal Lenten Retreat either on Friday, March 27 or Friday, April 3 to observe the Goodness of Every Friday (as outlined by the 1983 Code of Canon Law, specifically Canon 1250) and Passion of our Lord.
On both Fridays, we will spiritually walk in the way of our Lord through praying St. Pope John II's Scriptural Stations of the Cross at 2:00pm on Instagram Live (our handle is @norbertineoutreachnm). During this time, weather-permitting and as long as it is still acceptable, we also invite you to take an actual walk outside, adhering to social distancing (up to 5 people in groups per NM health order issued 3/23/2020; remember to remain at least 6 feet apart from others)
We will also provide a reflective guide that you might use for further prayer on the nature of the Way of the Cross, the way we are each called to in our faith walks with Christ.
We look forward to praying and walking in spirit with everyone!
As much as you can, stay home, stay safe, stay healthy.
